The people of Berk were troubled by Dragons and hence there were many dragon hunters in the village and children were also trained as dragon hunters. The chief of the village himself was a trained dragon hunter. However, his son was a special case. Hiccup, the chief’s son, wasn’t that brave at that point of time, bother was he interested in killing any dragons. Nonetheless, to prove that he can do it if situations demand, he makes his own weapon and shoots down a night fury, a majestic and beautiful dragon.

He releases the dragon instead. The night fury was hurt by the net and a part of his tail was cut off, making him unable to fly. The dragon which is known for its speed couldn’t fly anymore. Hiccup follows him and tries to feed him fishes while he examines the night fury. They soon develop a bond and hiccup makes a tail for him and attaches it. The dragon can now fly with his help. And Hiccup becomes the very first dragon rider.
The start of something new
The dragon hunting training still continues, and Hiccup who was once at the bottom of the class, became an expert at controlling dragons with the help of toothless. Astrid suspects that something’s up which is making Hiccup such an expert at controlling dragons and follows him. There she sees toothless (the night fury), and threatens to tell everyone about it. Hiccup somehow convinces her not to do so, and gives her a ride on toothless making her realize how beautiful it is. The dragon, the riding, and the bond. So things happen, toothless fights with the Vikings os Berk and saves Hiccup from other dragons in the fight, and people start believing in dragon’s loyalty. This sets the base of the series and movies to come, where the people of Berk start keeping dragons as their pets.

Oh! By the way, did I tell you this movie also includes toothless’ love life? Yes! It’s an amazing Dragon, a Light Fury, that toothless falls in love with. Well, I don’t blame him. She is so beautiful that anyone would fall in love with her.
Well, she is not the only one you are gonna fall in love with… As soon as you try getting over her, the adorable baby night-lights will come to steal your hearts. And Hiccup and Astrid are all grown up by then, but if you miss little Hiccup or little Astrid, you get to see little versions of them in their children as well.
The series is loosely based on the book by the same name, by a British author Cressida Cowell. The majestic mythical creatures are imagined as adorable goofballs, who are extremely loyal towards their humans and help them in everything, whether it’s fighting with them to free other dragons or it is for maintaining Berk, they are there for everything. If you enjoy animation fantasies and mythical creatures, you are gonna love this series. They are not much different from Game of Thrones Dragons in terms of their loyalty, but instead of big, scary dragons, they are big, adorable goofballs. Only after they are acquainted with you though. Before being acquainted, they are really defensive. There is not one single thing in this series that one could hate. So, if you are looking forward to enjoying a little fantasy during this quarantine, you can definitely go for this one.
