I solemnly swear that I’m up to no good!
Well I must say I am a true PotterHead , like any other child of my age I went gaga over the Harry Potter movies when I was young and till my mid teenage years I finished all the books as well.
When I first watched Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s stone , I was completely taken aback by the exemplary and extraordinary vision of the creators. The slight uniqueness with every bit of perfection they have indeed given us a world that will remain with us forever.
The first time we all saw the boy who lived, we totally understood that he the one and he will do great things, from being a lonely little boy who lived under the cupboard, Harry went on to become one of the most famous people in Hogwarts. He made his lifetime friends Hermoine Granger and Ronald Weasley during his way to Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry.
Over the years this trio has made us fall in love with them, they are by far the most iconic trio and I completely adore them.
From the potions class to the defense against the dark arts we practically enjoyed every subject at Hogwarts and speaking of sports I still gush over Quidditch matches and Harry Potter marathons.
Author (J.K. Rowling)
J.K. Rowling is a British author who was named the first billionaire author by Forbes. She grew from rags to riches and she struggled as a child.
She wrote the character of Hermione Granger thinking about herself. The first book took many years of struggle before being finally published.
It faced a lot of rejections but finally when it was released , a masterpiece was found J.K Rowling won Smarties Prize three times consecutively. She became the first author to do so.
J.K Rowling was suffering from depression while she was writing Harry Potter due to many reasons before the first book got published so she framed her depression into the very lethal and dark creatures named Dementors in the Harry Potter books.
Dementors fed on human happiness and thus generate feelings of depression and despair in any person in close proximity to them.
Harry Potter found his home at this place, this is where his parents learnt magic, this is where he found love in his friends and teachers and this is where he defeated , he who must not be named also known as Lord Voldemort.
Life at Hogwarts seemed so much fun, I always wondered how Bertie Botts every flavor beans tasted like or may be how does the candies at the Honeydukes in Hogsmeade taste like? How scary is the shrieking shack or how lethal is the Whomping willow? Will I ever be able to join the Dumbledore’s army? What would be my patronus like? and How much I craved to visit the Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes in the Diagon Alley .
These are some of the questions which I had in mind since I was twelve, well I am not alone, I know you are a true PotterHead if you are reading this.
Characters in the film
From Harry Potter to Tom Marvolo Riddle everyone did their parts with perfection, from the most lethal and dangerous characters like that of Dolores Umbridge, not kidding, to the most bravest of hearts like Nevil Longbottom everyone has aced perfection in these series.
Since the very beginning I have loved how Hogwarts has been shown like a regular school, from Hermione acing in studies to their ever loving and lasting friendship, every part of it has been beautifully personified.
The Half Blood Prince or Professor Severus Snape is undoubtedly my favorite character.
He is the most selfless, the most honest and the most loyal that a person can ever be and how he hid his affection for Lilly and cared for Harry unconditionally is beyond imagination.
Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore was the finest headmaster of the school, he was one of the most powerful wizards that had ever lived.
He helped Harry’s parents to hide at the time Voldemort was after them, he had his secrets but after all he was everything to Harry.
Sirius Black was Harry’s godfather , his father’s honest friend and a true companion.
Watching him drift away to the other world that too because of his sister Bellatrix Lestrange was by far the hardest scenes for me.
Cutting it short to the main characters because I can talk about the characters of the film all day long.
The brave kid , the boy who lived and the chosen one, he faced every obstacle with love. After all that is what everything is about. It was his mother’s love which protected him and the love of his friends and his close ones which made it possible for him to defeat Voldemort.
“Books! And cleverness! There are more important things — friendship and bravery and — oh Harry — be careful!”
She was indeed correct, true friendship and love that is all this movie teaches us.
Personally I completely adore her quirkiness and celeverness.
The true , loyal and scared of spiders type of friend.
He is truly the heart of the movie after all his family sacrificed so unconditionally and loved Harry with such care.
Since I can go on writing forever on them I would like to cut it short by naming some of the characters which left such a huge impact on us like,
Molly Weasley, Ginny, Fred and George, Lupin and Tonks, Mad-eye Moody, Professor McGonagall, Luna Lovegood and the list is endless.
Though I never feel like stopping when I start writing on this series but everything has its ending just like our beloved series which ended in the cinemas after the release of 2011 Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 and the book series had its last part as Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
The love for these series is huge amidst the people which is quite visible in the fan fiction , fandom, social media posts etc. J.K Rowling has given us a world which will remain with us forever.
At last I would like to quote one of my favorite quotes by Dumbledore,
“Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.”
