Better late than never right?
After six long years, it has been confirmed that a new version of The Sims, is finally in the works. Developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts [EA], the popular life simulation game is set to return very soon and will be the newest creation after 2014’s The Sims 4. The Sims made its debut almost 20 years back and has managed to become one of the most popular games of all time.
EA has set the bar up with this game and it will be exciting to see what they do to the newest version.
A lot of speculations and theories have surfaced, to save you the time, here are the rumours, newest updates, possible release date and everything else you need to know about THE SIMS 5.
What are the latest rumours about the update?
The Sims 5, might include a multiplayer component. Players will be allowed to sync their games and connect with their friends. This means they can visit each other’s creations. Also, most of Sims 4’s features will be reconstructed with open-world gameplay and with full support to the customization of characters, vehicles. Other additional features will make this version a game that everyone will be addicted to.
When is it releasing?
Even though an official release date has not been disclosed. According to the development of content for Sims 4, it is suspected to release late 2020 or even 2021. A trailer is not out yet but it will be released near to the arrival of the game.
What is it going to be about?
For now, there’s no idea about what Sims 5 will offer but we can expect more social interaction in the new game. The fifth version would likely be debuted on PC prior to arriving on PlayStation and Xbox. There’s no information if EA will launch Sims on Nintendo’s consoles or the Nintendo Switch in the near future.
The Sims has sold nearly 200 million copies worldwide. A brand new addition to this franchise, with better features, new packs etc, might just make this game the biggest life simulation game of all time. I cannot wait to see the new edition.
