Watchmen is an American series created by Damon Lindelof for HBO.
The series was adapted from the DC Comics of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons named Watchmen in 1987. The show was premiered on October 20, 2019 and had a total of 9 episodes in its 1st season.
The show acts as a sequel to the comics which is a treat for the fans of the comic.
Premise Of The Show:
The show starts after 34 years of the comic series and is set in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
A gang of white supremacists called the ‘Seventh Kavalry’ wage war against minorities and police officers. In 2016, on the eve of Christmas, the gang attacks 40 homes of police officers in Tulsa.
This day came to be the “White Day” and soon the police force is rebuilt. To protect their identity from the Seventh Kavalary, the police officers are given masks for protection.
Two officers who survived the White Day, Detective Angela Abar and Police Chief Judd Crawford join the police force again to capture the gang and its members.

The show is about racial discrimination and is rated R for its strong language and nudity.
The show earned many fans and fame for its direction, acting and the settings.
The show is expected to renew for a second season but the creator of the show, Lindelof has said that he has no hope for a second season by him!
He said that he wants the show to be continued but he doesn’t want to be a part of it anymore as he has done his job by directing the comic content into a show.
The network has not announced any sequel to the show as well. Lindelof has also said that if season 2 is in the cards, the story must be written only by the writers and approved by the network.
As none of the cast was killed off in 1st season, there is a possibility that they might return for another season if it is renewed.
