Life is a river with secrets deeper than an ocean, happiness shallower than a puddle, difficulties larger than a mountain and turns more than a circle. It comprises of heaps of surprise boxes, anyone can open at any turn. Our actions do moderate which box we open but our choices moderate what happens next.
Suppose you open a box and you get in it a great responsibility to behold, suppose the responsibility of raising a child.
The large sky of emotions will ponder into your heart.
Happiness, anxiety, excitement but above all fear. Fear of whether you will be able to give justice to the work.
This fear will open two paths in front of you. One to just close the box instantly and throw it far away or second accept what life has given with a smile and work hard to prove that you could bear it.
Well this is a little of what all happened in the movie that we are going to discuss today.
This story has love, trust, innocence, romance but just in a different way.
Above all this, it has a moral.
The Game Plan is about a famous football player Joe Kingman played by ‘The Rock’ who a quarterback in the team is named ‘Rebels’.
The movie starts by displaying a football match in which Joe Kingman’s team The Rebels is playing against The New York Dukes.
In the match, Joe Kingman scores a touchdown ignoring an open wide receiver, Travis Sanders.
But the real turn in the movie and life of Kingman happens the next day when he spots an eight-year-old girl named Peyton in his apartment.
On asking who she is, Peyton tells that she is the biological daughter of Joe from his ex-wife Sara who has sent her to meet him.
This trembles the earth below the feet of Joe and he instantly calls his agent Stella Peck, who feels the news, and Peyton herself is a nuclear bomb to Joe’s career.
To avoid the situation for now she distracts Joe with his upcoming playoff.
Well, will Joe be able to take the responsibility of Peyton?
Will his career be destroyed?
To know these keep reading!!
Moving ahead with the storyline. Now Joe goes to an adult restaurant with Peyton and in the excitement of the night, completely forgets about her. It is later that he realizes, he has left from the restaurant without Peyton but it’s already too late.
The next day he is on the cover of a tabloid but for nothing good. The news tries to crush the Joe’s image by stating him as a bad father.
While Stella tries to manipulate Peyton before the press conference to tell all good things about Joe but she refuses.
At the conference, there is another surprise, a cute beloved moment.
While the press is stabbing Joe her daughter protects her by saying some wise words. Now I won’t make a spoiler out here by telling you what she said and ruin the moment.

Peyton was not as innocent as she seemed to be. In order of her favor, she compelled Joe to take her to a ballet academy as she had an extreme interest in learning it.
The academy was run by Monique Vasquez who asked Joe to join the ballet performance.
Now, why she did, reflects her respect for art and is another great reason for you to go and watch the movie.
Later in the movie, a love interest is seen between Joe and the Monique.
We also see relationship between Joe and Peyton starts to develop and Joe provides a separate room to Peyton which made her happy. Between all this, the rebels Joe’s team won three subsequent matches and reach to the finale.
Meanwhile, Stella agrees with fanny burger owner Samuel Blake.
According to the agreement if the rebels win then Joe will have to say the name of the company in front of media. Just this small task would gain him 25 million dollars.
The last match of the rebels was again with the team shown at the starting of the movie The New York Dukes.

Before the match, Joe along with Monique and Peyton went on to lunch where she accidentally revealed that she was not sent by her mother and she ran away herself to spend time with Joe.
This makes Joe mad and he starts yelling at Peyton while realizing that Peyton has started having an allergic reaction due to peanuts and finding it difficult to breathe. This is brought into his notice by Monique.
After this realization, he forgets everything and holds Peyton into her hands and runs to the hospital. Luckily Peyton is saved.
Every team member comes to see Peyton as she has won a place in everyone’s heart. Such a heart-touching moment to see.
Peyton’s aunt and legal guardian Karen Kelly comes to the hospital to take Peyton home. Joe again has a shocking truth in front of him.
Peyton’s mother and Joe’s ex-wife died in a car accident 6 months ago due to which she ran way to Joe. Anyways Karen is determined to take Peyton home while Joe refuses.
In the middle of their argument, Peyton comes into consciousness and overhear Stella about how badly Joe’s career will be destroyed due to her arrival.
This breaks her heart and she decides to go back with Karen.
After Peyton leaves, Joe has no attention in his final game and gets himself hurt.
On seeing all this on TV Peyton returns and fills Joe again with confidence and determination to win the game and so he does.
What’s shocking is even after winning the game Joe, at last, doesn’t say “let’s go to flappy burger” as per the deal but say just three mere words “let’s go home.” these words steal the heart of the audiences, at least they did mine.

The story has a lot of twists and turns in between which just brings a smile to the face. Some of the dialogues just steal your heart.
It’s a very nice and calming movie with a lot of love and warmth.
The love and the trust I was talking about in the introduction didn’t reflect the love interest between Joe and Monique but between Peyton and Joe.
The movie completely justifies the true relationship between a father and daughter. It also tells us to face responsibilities as Joe did rather than run away from it.
According to me all the actors in the movie were great as well and I just loved it as did many other viewers. If you are yet to watch it just go but with your family!
