Centring around three trilogies referred to as the “Skywalker Saga”, Star Wars is a non-chronological production released between 1977 and 1983. Star Wars features the concept of a galaxy in which humans and variety of alien species co-existed with droids or robots who assisted their word and functionality. “The Force” is the mystical power originated by all living beings that binds them together.
From the end to end, I have listed out the movies of Star Wars starting with the worst and ending with the best. So, buckle up for the journey through all the movies of Star Wars in a glimpse.
11.The Phantom Menace
As proposed by George Lucas in the beginning that Star Wars would be for the kids, this episode of Star Wars turned out to be the worst as per my designation. I am a big fan of Star Wars and never did I expect of coming across Anakin at the age of 9. He was plucked by Qui-Gon Jinn as the “chosen one”, who would bring balance to the force. The best part of the movie is exclusively the villain character, Darth Maul who had an incredible seen with the Jedi at the end of the movie. It’s one of the eye-catching moments in the entire movie heightened by John William’s score. However, you really have to wait for it till the end which is not amusing.
10.Solo: A Star Wars Story
In this episode, the outlook of Ron Howard’s towards young and idealistic Han Solo is a real baffle between action and the plot. The ending of this movie doesn’t seem to come until it really bumps hard at the credits. The forceful including of jokes and the groan moments reveal the hollowness of the movie. However, all the scenes of Lando Calrissian are a real treat and those are the only perks of this episode.
9.The Rise of Skywalker
If you are a hardcore fan of Star Wars, then you must have been be into a big mess after “The Force Awakens”. However, your patience would be consummated with The Rise of Skywalker. Its the continuation of the thrill of the previous movie but at the cost of being a movie just for the sake of it and to keep the episodes flowing. Though the visuals and graphics are stunning, the beginning falls apart.
8.Attack of the Clones
According to me, children would enjoy this episode quite delightfully. Obi-Wan Kenobi’s stunning and mind-blowing acting fit perfectly for this episode. The movie heavily focuses on his storyline as he comes across Jango and Boba Fett as well as Count Dooku. The nostalgic part comes to play when Lucas starts the clone war and Yoda engages in a fight with the lightsaber.
7.Revenge of the Sith
A grown Anakin is seduced by the dark side of the Force and the Jedi is wiped out. The most agonizing part of this movie is the performance of Hayden Christensen’s as Skywalker conflicted with the dark side. On the bright side, an excellent performance by McGregor as Kenobi, and the duel at the end of the move between Skywalker and Kenobi is really worth the wait.
6. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
Introducing us to fascinating new characters, Rogue One competently answers the question “What happened before Darth Vader boarded Princess Leia’s ship at the beginning of ‘A New Hope’?” Originality is one of the top qualities within a franchise which is very difficult to be brought up. However, on one hand, lengthening the storyline is not so captivating but the end is really enjoyable.
5. Return of the Jedi
The original trilogy ends with this final release and trust me, the best part is we get what we expect. It answers several of our questions which stayed hanging and unresponded for several years. However, it’s a bummer to excavate that Boba Fett dies within the first 20 minutes.
4.The Force Awakens
One of the best movie of Star Wars that combines the old and the new emotions of the fans and celebrate the legacy of the franchise while welcoming the new cast. Also, Lucas came up with the insanely original storyline.
3.A New Hope
The movie that marked the beginning of the Star Wars episodes, finally came under the spotlight. I really cannot deny the fact that this movie really places itself in the third position itself. I would advise you to have a look at this movie before you go onto some newer episodes. This movie brought a new era of the sci-fi genre in the movie industry.
2.The Last Jedi
Presenting you a tour of the Saga, director Rian Johnson achieved the impossible and reached new heights. The movie has a wonderful plot, and the thrill is quite natural. The best part is the fans would go through the emotional contrasts throughout this movie evenly.
1.The Empire Strikes Back
The movie opens with Luke being attacked by a Wampa, followed by the Rebels who were smoked out of their secret base by the Empire, turned down the bets all over. Anything that your mind can think of about sci-fi is possibly in this movie. The reveal of Darth Vader as Luke’s father turned the tables and ramped the twist in the history of the movie industry. This is so far, the best movie according to me and you better grab a popcorn before the famous sound-track hits off.
