Will there be a sequel to Extraction? Yes! There will. After the first part got more then 90 million views in just a short span of time, Joe Russo has confirmed that there’s going to be sequel coming soon.
What was the first part about?
Extraction is an action movie starring the one and only Chris Hemsworth. He is infamous for playing Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe . In the first part, Hemsworth played Tyler Rake. Rake is a black market mercenary who has nothing to lose and is hired to rescue the kidnapped son of an Indian drug lord.
Possible plot
Although the cast and crew have remained tight lipped on the matter of the plot. The second part will most likely explain the ending and we will come to know if Tyler Rake really died. But Joe Russo has been a little unsure about when the story will begin. He states that it has not yet been decided if the next movie will take the plot further. It can also tell the story of what happened before all of the incidents in the first part.
Cast and Crew
We know that Joe Russo is definitely the screenwriter as he himself stated. Since the announcement was made on may 4th, most of the negotiations are still being made. But Chris Hemsworth is most likely going to be starring in this movie too and Sam Hargreaves just has to direct this one. Hopefully, Rudhraksh Jaiswal who captured so many hearts as he played the innocent son of the Drug Lord will be in the sequel too.
Shooting location
Since most of the first part’s shooting was done in India, there is a high chance that the second part will be shot outside of the U.S.A too. Russo himself said that he wanted too explore films that had less ‘U.S.A’, in them.
