Scarlett Johansson has played the role of Black widow or Natasha Romanoff for over a decade now.
We have seen her in eight Marvel movies and eagerly waiting for her final and ninth solo movie.
We are so used to seeing her as Black Widow that it is almost impossible to imagine anyone else in the role.
Well,it might be news for all the marvel lovers out there but Scarlett Johansson was not the first choice for the role.
Though Johansson said she had a meeting with “Iron Man 2” director Jon Favreau, she was ultimately passed over for Black Widow, in favor of Emily Blunt. Emily could not make it because of her schedule hence the role went on to Scarlett Johansson.
No ill feelings for being the second pick
Johansson gladly accepted the iconic role of the Black widow.According to her the best call is for the role for which you got once rejected.
She said “You appreciate it more. I’ve basically made a career out of being second choice.”
She was so excited for the role that she said to Favreau, ‘If this doesn’t work out, I’m an actor for hire, so call me anytime.’

First solo movie
The first stand-alone Black widow film was set to release in May but has been postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.
This movie is the prequel and is the ninth and final film starring Scarlett Johansson.
She said that the movie is about “self forgiveness and accepting the decisions made by you”
