Earth was not merely enough for the biggest movie star in Hollywood. So Tom Cruise decided to expand his reach further beyond this planet.
NASA has confirmed that Tom Cruise will be shooting some parts of his next movie at the National Space Station. It is going to be the first movie shot in outer space. Jim Bridenstine, NASA administrator stated in a tweet that NASA is excited to work with Tom Cruise. He also said that NASA needs popular media like this to inspire the upcoming scientists and engineers.

So what is going to be the plot of this movie?
There is a lot of debate going on, as to what might be the plot of this upcoming movie. Some say that this movie might be the sequel of Oblivion, the 2013 science fiction space movie. Others say that this new project might be one from the Mission Impossible franchise. As James Cameron and Tom Cruise had talked about shooting Mission Impossible II in space way back in the 2000s. But unfortunately Deadline has reported that the movie won’t be a part of the MI franchise. I personally think this movie is not going to be a sequel.
Tom Cruise’s history with dangerous stunts
As we all know, Tom Cruise does all his own stunts. Fortunately for the movie makers, this might save the cost of sending a stunt double to the space too! Jokes apart, Cruise is notorious for doing dangerous stunts such as scaling the Burj Khalifa in Mission Impossible: Fallout. And the infamous HALO jump out of the airplane in the same movie. So it is quite obvious that Tom will be doing his own stunts in this movie too. We can just hope that the shooting goes by safely and everyone comes back to earth uninjured.
Many of us are already hyped for this movie and we can wish it nothing but good luck.
